What the NDIS funds an OT for
- Daily living skills: dressing, showering, cooking and routines.
- Assessments and reports for equipment, home changes or your plan review.
- Equipment advice and trials, such as aids for the bathroom or kitchen.
- School and play: handwriting, fine motor skills and getting organised.
The equipment or home changes themselves are funded from other parts of your plan, often after an OT report.
How much NDIS OT costs
| What | 2026–27 price limit |
|---|---|
| Occupational therapy, per hour | $193.99 |
| 45-minute session (0.75 hours) | $145.49 |
| Telehealth | Same hourly limit |
These are maximums, paid from your plan. Report writing and travel time may also be claimed when they're agreed with you first.
An OT who comes to you
OTs often work best in your own home or school, where the everyday tasks happen. See NDIS occupational therapists in Perth and therapy in Bunbury and the South West.
Works with every way you manage your plan
- Self-managed and plan-managed: you can use any provider. Invoices go to you or your plan manager.
- NDIA-managed: supports are delivered and claimed through our registered partner, Active Help Pty Ltd (Registered NDIS Provider No. 4050027031). There's nothing extra for you to do.
