When the NDIS pays for psychology
- The therapy relates to your disability and helps with goals in your plan, such as coping with change, managing anxiety, behaviour or building daily living skills.
- Your plan has funding for therapy, usually in Improved Daily Living.
- Treatment for a mental health condition that is not related to your disability is usually covered by Medicare (a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan), not the NDIS.
What psychology can help with
- Anxiety, low mood and coping strategies linked to your disability
- Behaviour, emotions and social skills
- Assessments and reports for your NDIS plan
- Support for families and carers
